Abstract
This study examines banks’ role in promoting sustainable finance through qualitative analysis of secondary data (2015-2023), including policy documents, regulatory frameworks, sustainability reports, and international publications. The findings show that banks support sustainable finance via green lending, ESG integration, and participation in policy initiatives. However, effectiveness is constrained by regulatory ambiguity, limited risk assessment capacity, and gaps between policy and practice. The study underscores the importance of stronger regulation, governance, and institutional alignment to enhance sustainable financial development.
